July 2010 Price Changes
We at Ross regret to have to inform you that several factors outside our control have forced us to increase a variety of prices in our catalogue for the last six months of 2010.
The main reason for these increases are as follows:
1) Currencies
The severe weakening of the Euro and the Pound has had a dramatic impact on goods imported from the Far East as these are dollar based.
2) Freight Costs
Due to the shortage of container ships, it is now six times more expensive to import a container than it was twelve months ago.
3) Fuel Costs
The dollar price for oil has more than doubled over the last twelve months.
4) Pulp and Paper Products
These have nearly doubled over the last twelve months because of a combination of mill closures and natural disasters.
If you require more details, please contact your representative who will be pleased to furnish you with more information and a selection of letters from several suppliers which confirm the reasons for the price increases.
